Carers Charter
Doncaster Partnership launched the Carers Charter for Carers (new window - Adobe Reader required) living in Doncaster in 2002 with funding from the Carers Grant.
DPFC consulted with carers, carer groups, the voluntary and statutory sector to develop the charter into a workable document that the Local Authority, Primary Care Trust, Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber Trust and Doncaster and Bassettlaw Trust and Carers could support and endorse.
It sets out the standards that carers should expect when dealing with people in health and social care and how to complain if these are not met.
Carers Information Pack
DPFC developed an Information Pack for Carers launched in 2004 with funding from the Carers Grant.
It was designed to support carers at the beginning, during and whenr the caring role has ended and as a tool professionals could also use when supporting carers.
The pack comprises of an A4 folder with ten colour-coded inserts for easy identification. Each insert gives information on a specialist area including Social and Health carer, Housing, Benefits and Transport.
Unfortunately, there is currently no funding available to update it but we are seeking funding and hope to revisit it later this year.

Doncaster Carers Newsletter (DCN)
DPFC produces a quarterly newsletter, which is emailed or posted out to all carers, statutory and voluntary agencies on our mailing list and distributed in public places in and around Doncaster, such as libraries and health centres.
Each edition is packed with useful current information and articles, which may be of interest to a carer.
We also use the newsletter to inform carers of new initiatives and any consultation events and meetings.
Carers are encouraged to contribute to the Newsletter, so if you have any anything you feel other carers would like to hear about, forth coming events, news, stories or poems please contact us for details of print deadlines
