Background
DPFC believe that carers themselves are the most powerful force for change. We encourage and support carers to get involved in the planning development and delivery of health and social care services.
All staff works in partnership with carers, carer groups, and other organisations to improve services for carers and promote their interests.
We actively work to raise the profile of family carers in Doncaster and ensure their views are fed into the decision-making process by representing carers on local boards, groups, events, consultation and at meetings. We also offer support to individuals who wish to be involved at this level. Some of the groups we have involvement with include:

Doncaster Carers Forum
DPFC facilitates the Doncaster Carers Forum. The group is made up of volunteers, carers, ex-carers, voluntary agencies and professionals who promote carers' interests.
The forum gives carers a unified voice locally that ensures they have an impact on decision-making. It works with other agencies and consults with carers and has a strong influence on local policy and planning. It can also ensure that the local carers' voices are linked in to the regional and national decision making bodies.
All adult carers living in Doncaster are invited to join the forum who meet bi-monthly, starting in January, on the 3rd Wednesday of the month 10.00 am – 12.00 pm at Doncaster Partnership for Carers, St Wilfrid’s, 74 Church Lane, Bessacarr, Doncaster, DN4 6QD. Tel: 01302 531333.
