DPFC actively work throughout the year to raise awareness about carers' issues and

To ensure carers are accessing the relevant support and services they are entitled.
We work in the community giving talks and presentations to groups and also to people working in health, social care and voluntary sector.
Each year we hold at least two major events to:
1 - raise awareness about carers’ issues and
2 - ensure carers are accessing the relevant support and services.
In previous years we have held:

Pamper days for carers

Multicultural events

Garden Parties

Open Days

Conferences
-
Information and awareness events in the community such as the Corn Exchange.
Alongside the events DPFC hosts, we also have involvement in events held by other voluntary and statutory agencies by having a stand with information relevant to carers.
All DPFC members receive notice of these events through the Doncaster Carers Newsletter (DCN), which can be viewed and/or downloaded here (new window - Adobe Reader required - download from Adobe.com). Membership is FREE.
